My name is Nichole and I was born and raised in Connecticut. I enlisted in the Connecticut Army National Guard in July 2008 and currently still serve as an Engineer Officer. I attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and earned my commission as an Officer in the United States Army through ROTC (Reserve Officers’ Training Corps).
I met my husband, Justin, while we were both attending our Army Engineer Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. He’s from Pittsburgh, PA and we love traveling back to see his family as much as possible. After our military training, we dated long distance until he moved to CT in the spring of 2013. We have been married now for 6.5 years; and in that time have endured three deployments - one for him and two for me.
We just welcomed our first baby girl, Giuliana, to this world in January 2021. Our military careers and deployments delayed our ability to start a family and we are beyond grateful to be parents.
My love for health and fitness originally grew out of necessity because I needed to be physically fit serving in the military. Over time, that love has grown into my biggest passion; and now I want to help other women gain confidence and achieve results by sharing what I’ve learned over the years. My background and experience comprises of Army Physical Fitness Training, CrossFit, and competitive Powerlifting. I am a certified USA Powerlifting Coach.
Recently having gone through my first pregnancy has led me to serve other pregnant and postpartum women. I am grateful that I had a healthy and active pregnancy; and hope to help other women do the same. This has called me to pursue both my pre- and postnatal certification and personal training certification. I believe fitness is attainable for all. Since the pandemic, I have completely switched to at home workouts. Time or equipment does not need to limit your progress. My goal is to share my postpartum journey here; along with fitness tips, lifestyle and motherhood topics.
I am so thankful to have you here! XOXO, Nichole
